Treading the line between 60’s garage and The Fall. THEE HEADSHRINKERS release their first taster from upcoming album “Head Cheese” on 16th October. The two minute riot “SUNDAY DRIVER” is typical Shrinker stuff. Driven by the bass line, with no middle eight, making repetition an art form. Rob’s vocals spit and sneer, Gino’s turns his Vox Phantom into a full fuzz incendiary device, all held together by Stiv’s fast and loose garage beat.
When asked for band inspirations. The answer is immediate. The Eighties Match Box B-Line Disaster, The Fall and the Sex Pistols. And ambition? “To play the 100 Club.” Can’t say fairer than that.
SUNDAY DRIVER “About a man who only feels alive behind the wheel of his killing machine .“
It’s not streaming til October 16th, but fans were given (and indeed took ‘cos it’s SOLD OUT) the chance to buy a limited Bandcamp Friday lathe cut picture disc with “I Wanna Be Your Dog” recorded live at The Jenny Lind on the flip.
HEAD CHEESE the album is released Friday 29th November.
