A throbbing hypnotic tribal drum underpins “The Lullaby.” The first new music, since releasing their debut album last year, from Hastings’ Frank From Blue Velvet. The father/daughter fronted band have slowly manifested themselves into a force to be reckoned with. Their live shows veer from the sublime to the anarchic, performing as a three piece to a full barreled alt-country assemble with banjo, lap steel and fiddle… Hell, if you are very lucky, it’s been known for a twenty headed choir to step on stage with them. They’ve built things the old fashioned way which has earned them a prestigious slot at this years Red Rooster festival plus headlining the Rustic Stomp in July.

Andrew J Davies’ baritone vocals spread like butter over this Gretsch soaked mournful anthem. The darkness within is never fully explained… a hedonistic whisper into a lovers ear? Or the last song you hear as you drift towards the light?
