Prologue: “Aimlessly scrolling through Instagram, unable to sleep after a magnificent Howlin’ Ric show at the Jenny Lind, a Jenny Don’t & The Spurs reel popped up. A message was sent “Jenny Don’t. You DO have to play The Jenny!” Jenny came back straight away saying their agent has been told and is expecting your call. Which goes to show. 1. Jenny Don’t & The Spurs are grass roots ON IT! and 2. Instagram ain’t all bad.” Karl POTL

SIDEWINDER - TEASER TRACK - RELEASED 6th AUGUST 〰️

Sunday 23rd February 2025. Jenny Don't & The Spurs play a free party at the aptly named Jenny Lind, situated in the English south coast seaside town of Hastings . With punters marking their spot hours before stage time, we knew this was going to be a belter.... and it was that and much much more. The bands raw country-garage intensity combined with the hoedown party atmosphere of the hundred odd people crammed within the wood paneled walls of this old town boozer is perfectly captured. There's no hiding on a live album and here, Jenny Don't and the Spurs prove themselves to be top of their sweat drenched game.

Hailing from Portland, Oregan. JD&TS formed in 2012 whose members having played in bands ranging from country, rockabilly, new wave to straight out hardcore punk. Jenny cut her teeth in the garage rock band DON’T, whilst drummer Buddy Weeks has toured extensively with OTIS HEAT and SALLIE FORD & THE OUTSIDE SOUND. Bass player Kelley Halliburton’s history lies in the Portland punk scene with bands such as RESIST, MASSKONTROL plus P.R.O.B.L.E.M.S with POISON IDEA drummer Dean Johnson. Meanwhile guitarist Christopher March spent his youth playing in various Bluegrass and “Power Violence” bands! This explains a lot. JENNY DON’T & THE SPURS will satisfy both the country purist and keep the die hard rocker firmly in the front row. No mean feat, that’s for sure.

In 2025 alone the band have played 15 countries, 11 states ,64 shows across USA, Mexico and Europe… and it ain’t over yet. A further tour of the U.S. and Australia awaits before the sun rises on a new year.

Amazing, then, this is their first live album.

It’s the 3rd volume of the “Live at the Jenny” series, too. It’s simple goal - To document a series of live performances that fans will want to collect and keep.  From folk ballads to riotous punk rock, these slices of musical history will reflect the diversity of the bands and the promoters who book them.
